Chinese Calligraphy Workshop

Join artist Mona Wu at the Lam Museum to explore the history of the Chinese language and the art of calligraphy. After a short discussion, participants will practice brush strokes used to create Chinese characters. Participants will have the opportunity to paint a scroll that includes images and Chinese calligraphy. This workshop is offered in conjunction with the exhibit Fragments of Changsha: Medieval China in Miniature which features Tang Dynasty ewers with inscribed Chinese characters. This workshop is designed for adults ages 18 and up. The fee is $25 per participant ($20 for Lam Museum members). Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Register today!
