Art (“OMA”) Jazz // Music Carolina SummerFest

Opening Minds through Art (OMA) – “OMA Jazz”
In partnership with the Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness and the Tab Williams Adult Day Care Center, Music Carolina will present OMA Jazz, a free interdisciplinary performance inspired by artwork created by individuals living with dementia through the nationally recognized, evidence-based Opening Minds through Art (OMA) program. Original music composed by Music Carolina Co-Artistic Director Matt Kendrick responds directly to participant artwork. This program increases arts access for older adults and individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias—populations that often face barriers to arts participation.
